Definition of Hypnotism

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, hypnotism is the practice of causing a person to enter a state in which he responds very readily to suggestions or commands.

According to experts, this increases the focus of the individual and enables them to concentrate on a particular memory. Hypnotism aims at healing a person and is used for changing negative patterns and/or behaviors with positive suggestions.

In hypnotism, the sounds and words play a key role as they are used to make suggestions to the person under hypnosis. It is believed that although mesmerism does not rely on words much, magnetic energy inspired the technique of hypnotism. Dr. James Braid is considered an important figure in this endeavor.

Once I put you into hypnosis I bypass the conscious mind allowing direct access to the subconscious.

You are in total control and consciously aware of what is happening during the trance process and your conscious mind can discern what it accepts and what it will not.

In the hypnotic state, I try to uncover the core issue of the disturbance and in many cases it involves some sort of trauma.

Once identified I replace the old negative behaviours or patterns with new positive ones.

It’s usually requires a minimum of three session over three weeks to heal balance and harmonise the body.

I offer all my clients a personalised service before the hypnotherapy, we work together as a team to bring forth a focused, more positive and effective outcome.
